I guess it’s a good sign that I haven’t had/made time for blogging lately. Between training others, myself, carpentering and traveling, there’s been less laptop hours (which is fine by me). Anyway, I’ve trained in 4 week blocks since first starting triathlons thanks to plans I followed from beginnertriathlete.com. Though the content of the blocks has certainly changed, the structure has not. Here’s a recap of the final two workout weeks before the 4th (and my personal favorite) rest week.
3/15
RDL – 135×5, 225×3, 245×3, 255×3
Push Press – 135×5, 155×3, 165×3, 177×1
3/19
Hang Squat Cleans – 135×5, 155×3, 177×2, 177×3
Bent Over Rows – 135×5, 155×3, 177×3, 195×3
3/24
Deadlift – 225×5, 277×5, 317×3, 339×3, 355×4 (PR)
Press – 135×3, 141×3, 145×1, 145×3
That’s it – only 3 WOD’s in the last two weeks. Sprinting has been pp’d due to stubbon and sore foot. I’ll be testing it for the next block. Speaking of, as I write today, rest week is over and it’s time to start a new one. Hopefully it’s full of more PR’s.
