It’s that time of year again! ‘Tis the season when (mostly) sane people decide the best way to support kids in Rhode Island is by sprinting into Greenwich Bay because it “builds character!”
This will be our 15th Annual Frozen Clam Dip & Obstaplunge! Over the past 14 years, we’ve raised more than $120,000 for MENTOR Rhode Island: an amazing non-profit that pairs kids with caring adult mentors. Their work changes lives in ways you can actually feel! I’m proud of my ten years as a mentor and our unique tradition that helps fuel their mission!
The event is suitable for all-ages, beginner-friendly, and totally family-approved! And yes, for the 11th year in a row, we’re transforming the beach into a full-blown obstacle course, making the Clam the world’s only New Year’s Plunge of its kind! I love this event so much because it represents who we are – a slightly unhinged tribe of obstacle-builders who make doing crazy things fun!
Here is your official invitation:
- Register! You can opt for the obstacles, the plunge, neither or both! Note: students get 50% off registration!
- Donate to support mentoring in RI (every dollar helps).
- Sponsor Us! Promote your business while supporting the cause! Multiple options available!
- Show up and witness the magic unfold (it’s a legit spectacle)!
Event Details:
- Thursday, January 1, 2026
- Goddard Park State Beach
- 1095 Ives Road Warwick, RI
- Waves at 11am, 1130 a.m., and 12pm
Come be part of an epic Rhode Island tradition; one that mixes cold water, community energy, and a whole lot of discomfort and tenacity! Let’s make 2026 our greatest yet!
